Don't Be Afraid of The Dark a 1970's classic horror

The story begins with Alex (Jim Hutton) and Sally Farnham (Kim Darby) who moves into an old mansion that they have inherited from Sally's grandmother.

Sally is warned by handyman (Mr. Harris) that the bricked up fire place is better left that way. Sally unbolts the ash door in her grandfather's study. A series of odd events take place.

She must convince her husband that the odd events and the strange little creatures are not her imagination. Alex refuses to listen to her stories of the strange sightings which leaves her isolated with the small terrifying creatures who are determined to take her soul.

Small terrifying creatures who are determined to take Sally's soul

The small cast of seasoned actors are Kim Darby, Barbara Anderson, and Jim Hutton who are best known for their work in television as each give strong performances.

This suspenseful story is clean of gore and excessive violence and may be a good choice for family viewing.
